CloudSign to Nuxt Without Stopping: What We Decided First
CloudSign is a cloud-based electronic contract service launched in 2015, covering everything from contract signing to contract management.
Having run for more than ten years, it cannot be stopped. With that as a given, we are renewing its frontend, moving off Revel templates and migrating to Nuxt screen by screen.
The migration covers roughly 150 screens, a multi-year project we are running together with AI.
We began this years-long migration by defining our team’s success metric: lead time for feature development. From it, we derived the machinery for switching between the old and new apps, and the checks that verify the migration’s actual state.
In this session, we will talk about that criterion, and how the rest followed from it.
