Onboarding Costs Drove Our Nuxt 3 Migration

i Cubed Systems, Inc. develops MDM (Mobile Device Management) products and uses Nuxt for the frontend of its management console.

As the number of new graduate engineers increased, we faced a growing gap: our production codebase was still on Nuxt 2, while technical articles, documentation, and generative AI were increasingly based on Nuxt 3. This gap was becoming a burden during onboarding and ramp-up.

In this session, I’ll share what we considered before deciding to migrate to Nuxt 3, how we approached the migration in practice, and the unexpected challenges we discovered along the way.
