Developing Design: Improving the Design Process with Vue
Designers write code, and engineers and PdMs take part in design. With the evolution of generative AI, dissolving role boundaries are becoming the norm. I'm one of those who stepped across, moving from engineering into design.
Even so, each role still has to translate the deliverables it receives and embed them into its own domain. However far roles expand, some work remains that can't be handed over.
In this session, I'll introduce a prototyping approach where designers and developers work on the same output together. Building prototypes from the components running in production reduces translation loss, and keeping a record of the context and decisions expands what can be delegated to AI, resulting in a workflow with far better visibility.
I'll share the practical insights and lessons learned from improving the design process from a developer's perspective and taking on design engineering with AI and Vue.js.
